What Faviview is
Faviview is a diagnostic tool that checks which site icons exist for a given URL. You provide a URL. Faviview fetches that page, reads its icon declarations, and requests each icon to report what the server returned.
What data is processed
When you use Faviview:
- The URL you enter is sent to the Faviview API, which fetches that page and its declared icons. The URL is used only to perform the check you requested.
- Page content — the HTML of the page you specify is fetched and parsed to extract icon declarations. Only icon-related tags are examined; the full page text is not stored.
- Icon responses — the first few kilobytes of each declared icon are fetched to determine pixel dimensions and content type. This data is used for the diagnostic report and is not stored.
What data is stored
Faviview does not operate user accounts, does not store check history, and does not retain the URLs you submit or the results of your checks beyond the duration of the request. No database, no session storage, and no persistent logging of user-submitted URLs is performed.
The Faviview API runs on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare may retain request logs in accordance with their standard practices. Refer to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.
Cookies and tracking
Faviview does not set cookies, use tracking scripts, or embed analytics. The site does not use any third-party services that collect personal data beyond the Google Fonts API (which receives the user's IP address when fonts are loaded from Google's servers). No other external requests are made.
Data sharing
Faviview does not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties. The only external requests made are:
- To the URL you specify (to fetch the page and its icons)
- To Google Fonts (to load the typefaces used on this site)
Your rights
Because Faviview does not collect, store, or maintain personal data, there is no stored data to access, correct, delete, or export. If you have questions about data handling, you may contact the operator through the channels available on this site. A formal data protection contact will be established when a legal entity is registered.
Changes to this notice
This privacy information will be updated when a legal operator is formally registered, or when the tool's data handling changes materially. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
